Matyáš comes to us from Tichá, Czech Republic and is pursuing a doctoral degree in biological sciences with a focus on bioinformatics and computational biology. He has participated in numerous international and European tournaments with his most significant chess achievements including finishing 6th place at the 2015 World Youth Chess Championship in Greece and earning 3rd place at 2015 European Youth Team Chess Championship in Poland. Matyáš has served as his country’s national champion on several occasions.
